Role Overview
The Supply Chain Specialist position is a full-time, on-site role based in Harare. The incumbent will oversee the entire supply chain process, including inventory forecasting, order management, and coordination with suppliers and internal departments. They will monitor stock levels, analyze demand and lead time data to ensure inventory is replenished promptly, avoiding shortages and overstock situations. Additionally, the specialist will enhance operational workflows, track key performance indicators, and implement efficiency improvements. They will also be responsible for generating reports, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure effective and cost-efficient supply chain processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
- Strong background in Operations Management coupled with analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors.
- Relevant experience in supply chain or operations, ideally within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel or equivalent tools.
- Preferably holds a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related fields.
- Ability to work on-site in Harare and manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
