Role Overview

The Planner is accountable for forecasting activities related to advanced packaging operations and for keeping demand and supply aligned across wafer flows. The position works across functions such as Engineering, Factory Planning, Supply Planning, and Manufacturing Strategy to support readiness, capacity planning, and scenario-based decisions. It also involves turning complex data into clear action plans and improving planning processes through analytics, automation, and AI-enabled methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update demand and starts forecasts for advanced packages to support both near-term execution and long-range capacity planning.
• Create and maintain planning models that factor in wafer constraints.
• Run constrained and unconstrained scenario planning using multiple demand indicators to evaluate risks and trade-offs.
• Assess how demand fluctuations, yield shifts, and capacity limitations affect supply plans.
• Coordinate with Factory Planning, Supply Planning, Wafer, and Wafer Sort teams to align assumptions, data inputs, and execution plans.
• Work with Engineering to include yield assumptions, learning curves, and qualification readiness in planning models.
• Partner with Manufacturing Strategy to help determine product allocation across OSATs.
• Present plans, risks, and recommendations in a clear way to stakeholders.
• Examine large and complex data sets to spot trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Convert intricate planning situations into structured, decision-ready insights.
• Prepare concise summaries with strong narrative flow and accurate data.
• Regularly check assumptions and outputs to maintain planning accuracy.
• Simplify and standardize planning processes and models.
• Find opportunities to automate planning tasks and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to AI-enabled and agentic process improvement efforts that reduce manual work and increase planning agility.
• Support the use of advanced planning tools, analytics, and digital solutions.

Preferred Experience and Skills

The role is best suited to candidates with semiconductor industry experience, especially within semiconductor manufacturing environments. Experience in advanced package planning is an advantage. Strong analytical capability, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and solid knowledge of manufacturing and inventory management are important. A strong understanding of supply chain concepts, operational execution, and day-to-day operations is also needed. The role requires the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Experience with advanced planning systems, such as Kinaxis, is preferred, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Education

A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
