Role Summary

This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain operations supporting the manufacturing of lithium battery systems for industrial marine energy storage. Key duties include sourcing and procurement, logistics management, inventory oversight, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted production and timely deliveries in a dynamic scaleup environment where supply chain systems are evolving, including the adoption of ERP tools.

Core Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials and electronic components essential for production.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure cost efficiencies without sacrificing quality.
• Assess and ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules in line with production timelines.
• Forecast requirements based on production plans and sales projections.
• Manage inventory using ERP and MRP systems to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics for hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
• Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations specific to lithium batteries.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with both domestic and international suppliers.
• Maintain consistent communication regarding lead times, order status, and supplier performance.
• Address order discrepancies, delays, and quality concerns collaboratively.
• Identify and implement supply chain process improvements focused on efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to align supply chain strategies with product development objectives.
• Recognize supply chain risks such as geopolitical issues and material shortages and develop contingency plans.
• Maintain strategies to ensure business continuity for critical components.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.
• Over five years of experience in supply chain roles, ideally within battery, electronics, or marine industries.
• Comprehensive understanding of lithium battery manufacturing and global supply markets.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and analytical data tools.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards influencing battery material handling and shipping.
• Experience collaborating with European corporate entities.
• Familiarity with international and US suppliers, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma practices, and sustainable supply chain measures including carbon footprint tracking.
• Self-driven with initiative to develop and enhance processes in a fast-paced scaleup environment.
• Adaptable, team-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality results.

Additional Information

Location: Marysville, Washington (onsite role). Candidates must be able to work onsite by the start date; no relocation assistance is provided. This is a full-time contract position with a salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 depending on experience. Recruitment agencies' offers will not be entertained.
