Job description

About the Company

Spindrift is a beverage maker focused on using real fruit and a nature-first approach. Established in 2010, the company develops drinks with squeezed fruit rather than concentrates, and takes a carefully managed approach to sourcing and manufacturing. Its sparkling water is sold across the U.S., while Tea and SODA are available in selected markets. Spindrift is also a member of 1% for the Planet and is based in Newton, Massachusetts.

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Planner will support the internal supply chain operation by handling purchasing, coastal production planning, finished goods oversight, and inventory control. This role is hands-on and covers procurement, shipping coordination, inventory tracking by location, inventory reconciliation, MRP system work, communication with co-packers, data entry and analysis, and coordination with multiple teams. The position is expected to contribute directly to company performance goals related to sales, margin, and customer service.

What You Will Do

  • Manage supply chain planning from end to end, including MRP, purchase execution, production planning, and product allocation.
  • Oversee inventory control for raw materials and finished goods, including transfers and lot-level tracking.
  • Use the MRP system to place purchases that align with the production schedule.
  • Handle transactional work and system administration in NetSuite for inventory management.
  • Maintain the right finished goods levels across multiple third-party locations while accounting for forecasts and customer demand.
  • Coordinate closely with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality, Accounting, and Sales to keep operations aligned.
  • Work with co-packers and suppliers to ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Investigate and resolve freight issues when shipments contain missing or incorrect product details.
  • Support company-wide and functional targets.
  • Look for process and policy improvements that create additional business value.

Who This Role Suits

The ideal candidate brings strong integrity, sound judgment, energy, and creativity, along with sharp analytical and problem-solving ability. A collaborative mindset is essential, as is the ability to manage several priorities at once while maintaining strong attention to detail. This role also calls for a person who is highly motivated and willing to do what is necessary to keep work moving.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Comfort working in an entrepreneurial, less structured environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based tools; advanced Excel ability is required.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Newton, MA, with one remote day each week.
  • Capability to quickly build deep knowledge of the company's products and operations.
  • Leadership skills at both team and individual levels, along with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Supply chain experience in a consumer food or beverage business is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.

  • Short-term incentive programs based on role level and department.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid life insurance plus a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Monthly cell phone allowance.
  • Yearly allowances for Spindrift product use, health and wellness, professional development, and social justice education.
  • Optional benefits such as extra life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave, vacation, sick time, personal leave, bereavement leave, community service time, and holiday time, in addition to any legally required leave benefits.
