Role Overview

The Supply Chain Planner will be integral to our in-house supply chain operations, overseeing purchasing, production planning at coastal locations, finished goods management, and inventory oversight. The role demands active engagement in essential operational functions like purchasing, shipping logistics, inventory management across multiple sites, inventory reconciliations, MRP system administration, coordination with co-packers, data management, thorough analysis, and cross-departmental communication. Responsibility for meeting annual sales, margin, and service goals is a crucial aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete supply chain planning, including MRP execution, purchasing, production planning, and product allocation.
• Oversee inventory control for raw materials and finished products, with tasks such as inventory transfers and lot tracking.
• Utilize MRP tools to execute purchasing actions aligned with production schedules.
• Handle transactional processes and maintain the NetSuite inventory management system.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels of finished goods are maintained across multiple third-party sites, considering sales forecasts and orders.
• Facilitate effective communication with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality, Accounting, and Sales teams.
• Collaborate actively with co-packers and suppliers to adhere to production and delivery timelines.
• Identify and resolve shipment inaccuracies or incomplete product information with freight partners.
• Contribute to achieving company-wide and functional objectives.
• Propose and implement improvements in processes and policies that enhance business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Comfort working within an entrepreneurial and less structured business environment.
• Strong written and oral communication proficiency.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (advanced skills required), Outlook, and web-based tools; NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Based in Newton, MA office with flexibility for one remote day weekly.
• Prior supply chain experience in consumer food or beverage industry favored.

Compensation and Benefits

Alongside a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000, Spindrift provides additional benefits:
