Supply Chain Planner

Role overview

This position is for a Supply Chain Planner based in Peterborough, PE8 6RA. The role offers a pay rate of £16 to £18 per hour and is a temporary assignment lasting 6 months. The working model is hybrid, with 3 days each week required on site.

You will support day-to-day supply chain planning activity across materials and related operational areas. Working with limited supervision, you will contribute to the upkeep of the Master Production Schedule and the material plans needed to satisfy production demand and independent customer requirements.

The role involves close coordination with a range of stakeholders to keep planning inputs consistent across the supply chain. You will use planning systems, KPIs, and standard processes to spot risks, improve performance, and help meet both internal and external customer expectations.

Core responsibilities

Your work will include supporting planning activities, reviewing performance data, and helping to maintain reliable supply chain signals. You will also take part in process improvements and short-term tactical actions that strengthen operational delivery.

Experience and skills

The ideal candidate will bring experience with ERP or MRP systems, supplier management, strong Excel ability, and the confidence to work with data accurately. A strong numerical mindset, good attention to detail, and clear communication are also important for success in this position.
