Role overview

An established and expanding architectural practice in Galway is looking for an Architect at Part II or Part III level to join its team. The role suits a motivated architectural professional who wants to work across residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes in a collaborative environment.

You will be involved in projects from early concept stages through to final delivery, working alongside senior architects, consultants, and clients to produce well-resolved architectural outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the creation and progression of architectural projects from initial concept to completion.
  • Produce and refine drawings, models, and presentation materials using standard industry software.
  • Work with consultants, contractors, and other project participants throughout the full project timeline.
  • Assist with planning submissions, tender packs, and information required for the construction phase.
  • Help ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and applicable standards.
  • Take part in client meetings and design team conversations.
  • Contribute to strong design outcomes and accurate technical project delivery.

Requirements

  • Architecture degree with RIBA or RIAI accreditation, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Part II or Part III status, or currently working toward Part III.
  • Previous experience in an architectural practice.
  • Good capability in design, technical work, and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar architectural software.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Organised, proactive, and attentive to detail when delivering projects.

Additional information

Salary range: €40,000 to €70,000, depending on experience.
