Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Director specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to lead and manage the entire supply chain function across several major projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This crucial role involves overseeing procurement, logistics, warehousing, compliance, governance, and supplier performance to guarantee efficient material delivery, cost management, and operational excellence supporting project execution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of the supply chain across multiple MEP projects nationwide.
- Supervise procurement activities, strategic sourcing, and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely and budget-friendly project progression.
- Manage logistics functions including warehousing, transportation, and distribution of materials to all project sites.
- Establish and enforce supply chain governance, compliance protocols, and operational standards.
- Develop productive partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics companies to enhance performance and service quality.
- Oversee inventory planning and demand forecasting to balance material availability with inventory control.
- Implement cost reduction strategies and identify improvements to raise supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Project teams to facilitate successful project completion.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to ensure high-quality performance and continuous growth.
- Ensure that all supply chain operations adhere to corporate policies and relevant regional regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Over 20 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including extensive leadership roles.
- Proven background working with MEP contractors, main contractors, or EPC firms handling large-scale construction projects.
- Proficient in managing supply chain processes across various projects and geographical locations.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement, logistics, warehouse management, compliance, and governance within supply chains.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable systems.
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation capabilities, and supplier management expertise.
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferably holds professional certifications like CIPS, CSCP, or CPSM.
- Essential prior experience working in the Middle Eastern region.
- Arabic language proficiency is favored.
