Overview

The Supply Chain Co-Ordinator position is based in County Tipperary and reports directly to the Operations Manager. This role involves working within a growing, motivated team and collaborating with multiple departments including Planning, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Administration, IT, and Quality Control to ensure smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter sales orders daily using internal software, with most orders received via electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Verify and accurately process all order information.
  • Review, confirm, and enter customer orders handled through third-party logistics providers.
  • Coordinate collection schedules for both domestic and export shipments.
  • Optimize loading activities to achieve efficient unit distribution costs.
  • Oversee stock movements within third-party facilities across Ireland and Great Britain.
  • Communicate with customer distribution centers located in Ireland and Great Britain.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with haulage and distribution partners.
  • Prepare Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) for customers and third-party logistics warehouses.
  • Schedule daily product intake times with raw material suppliers across various sites.
  • Administer returnable packaging stock and its movements in coordination with Irish and European suppliers.
  • Control daily stock transfers between company sites and third-party stock locations to maintain cost-effective distribution.
  • Complete customs documentation, including Traces Export Health Certificates and IPAFFS declarations for shipments to Great Britain.
  • Coordinate with the Department of Agriculture to ensure timely and accurate signing of Export Health Certificates.
  • Participate in and present updates at daily internal planning and logistics meetings.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics activities in close collaboration with the dispatch team, ensuring efficient shipment handling and truck movements between sites.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and ensure swift issue resolution.
  • Generate daily reports, carry out reconciliations, summarize findings, and distribute to relevant departments.
  • Identify and resolve shipment and inventory discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Industry experience with strong analytical skills is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster effective collaboration both internally and with external partners.
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • A third-level qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • At least three years of experience in a related role within supply chain, logistics, or operations support.
