Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst, reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management, is responsible for delivering precise and timely analytical support to improve operations within Contracting, Logistics, and Procurement. This role supports the extended supply chain by conducting research, producing reports, and performing detailed analyses across various supply chain domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process "New Product Request" forms, ensuring pricing validation and adherence to contract compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to verify and maintain pricing records within the Contracts Master database for completed projects.
- Generate monthly and special reports for senior leadership, tracking performance metrics across Contracting, Clinical Quality Values Analysis (CQVA), Inventory Management, Procurement, and supply cost control.
- Provide analytical assistance to supply chain managers and directors to enhance operational efficiency and manage supply costs effectively.
- Deliver comprehensive data interpretations and research findings, incorporating clinical utilization and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct benchmarking analyses both inside the organization and with external partners to support sourcing and CQVA initiatives.
- Validate purchasing data associated with sourcing strategies involving Covenant Health and affiliated supply networks.
- Manage and update the CQVA opportunity database, tracking initiatives and summarizing progress for executive communication.
- Monitor supply utilization, enforce standardization and compliance, and facilitate resolution of any conflicts.
- Support preparation and research efforts related to Requests for Information and Proposal (RFI/RFP).
- Participate actively in the System Materials Council to develop strategic plans and enhance system processes.
- Engage with vendors on product evaluations, data exchange, and sourcing-related activities.
- Attend assigned meetings and serve on committees as required.
- Collaborate across supply chain and support teams to promote clinical standardization, strategic projects, and overall improvements.
- Champion the adoption of CQVA processes among physicians and facility leadership.
- Provide consultation during medical technology assessments and support formulary consistency efforts.
- Assist the Supply Chain team during contract negotiations and in establishing vendor commitment levels.
Qualifications
- Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Experience of 3 to 5 years in business or healthcare settings with expertise in data extraction and analysis, vendor relationship management, contract review, and RFP/bidding processes.
- Demonstrated ability to present information effectively to both small and large groups.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with physicians, administrators, managers, and staff.
- Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred experience in purchasing, contract management, benchmarking, and accounting.
