Job description
Position Summary
The graduate student in this role will contribute to the functioning of the Occupational Ergonomics and Safety (OES) Laboratory. Responsibilities involve configuring lab apparatus for gathering human biometric and physiological data, preparing instructional materials, and carrying out mechanical analyses on spinal motion segment models.

Start Date and Commitment
The anticipated commencement date is July 25, 2026, with an expected commitment of 10 hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical modeling and analysis using SOLIDWORKS and Ansys/FEBio software.
- Skill in hardware installation and troubleshooting software errors.
- Competency in scientific writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in a mechanical engineering or a closely related graduate program.
- Completed advanced coursework in mechanical modeling and analyses.
Essential Duties
- Set up lab equipment as needed.
- Gather preliminary data to support lab course creation.
- Perform mechanical modeling and analysis utilizing SOLIDWORKS and Ansys.
