Job description

About Holmesglen

Holmesglen Institute is a major Victorian provider of vocational and higher education, with more than 40 years of experience and a graduate network of 140,000. As one of the largest government-owned TAFEs, it delivers over 600 courses across campuses including Chadstone, Moorabbin, Glen Waverley, Eildon, and Melbourne’s CBD. The institute is known for practical, industry-connected learning, modern facilities, and a culture that supports growth, innovation, and positive community contribution.

Role Overview

Join Holmesglen’s recognised Student Recruitment and Admissions team and support prospective students from their first enquiry through to enrolment. The team was newly brought together in 2026 and is responsible for creating a smooth, positive admissions experience, acting as the main contact for student enquiries, guiding course selection, identifying support requirements, and carrying out detailed Pre-Training Reviews (PTRs).

This position focuses on delivering personalised guidance, strong service, and efficient admissions support in a busy, collaborative environment. You will work closely with teaching areas and internal teams to help students make informed decisions, progress through the enrolment process, and contribute to recruitment outcomes.

Employment Options

  • Full-time, 1.0 EFT, fixed term for maternity leave cover until 30/04/2027
  • Part-time, 0.6 EFT, fixed term until 18/12/2026
  • Pay level PW4: $70,975 to $77,063 per annum, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation and leave loading, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Role based at Chadstone Campus with onsite parking and convenient access to public transport

What You’ll Do

Your work will involve supporting the full student enquiry and admissions journey, offering course advice aligned to each applicant’s goals, and helping maintain a streamlined application process. You’ll also contribute to recruitment initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support enrolment targets and service quality.

Key Duties

  • Provide outstanding service to prospective students throughout the enrolment journey
  • Offer personalised course guidance based on student goals and career plans
  • Handle applications, admissions tasks, and student enquiries promptly and accurately
  • Develop productive working relationships with teaching departments and other internal teams
  • Assist with recruitment campaigns and activities that support student engagement and enrolments

What We’re Looking For

Success in this role will come from a strong service mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to work well with a wide range of people. You’ll need to stay organised under pressure, balance competing priorities, and respond with sound judgement and practical solutions.

The role also calls for someone who works well in a team, takes initiative, and adapts easily to changing needs. Experience with MS Office, CRM tools, and student management systems is preferred, especially in an education setting. A qualification in business, marketing, education, communications, career counselling, or a related area is desirable, or you may bring substantial relevant experience from the education sector.

Checks and Compliance

Appointment to this role depends on obtaining a Victorian employee Working with Children Check and a valid Police Check issued within the last 12 months.
