Job description
About the role
This position places you at the center of a campus-focused ambassador program designed to build awareness, excitement, and understanding of a major energy drink brand among university students and local consumers. The role blends brand promotion, product sampling, event support, and sales support, with an emphasis on creating memorable experiences and growing the brand presence at OCAD University and across the surrounding area.
You’ll thrive here if you prefer flexible scheduling over a traditional 9-to-5 routine and enjoy working in a lively, creative environment.
What you will do
As a Student Marketeer, you’ll represent the brand in a premium way, connect with students and consumers, and help bring the campus strategy to life. Your work will include in-person engagement, social media activity, event participation, and collaboration with sales teams and local stakeholders.
- Act as a visible brand and product ambassador through everyday interactions with students and consumers.
- Encourage product trial and brand awareness by sampling at the right places and times and answering questions confidently.
- Design and carry out a campus plan that creatively engages students and strengthens brand presence at the university.
- Build and maintain relationships with important local contacts and connected campus communities.
- Share authentic content on your social channels to strengthen brand engagement online.
- Support Red Bull events and sponsored activations to help deliver a standout consumer experience.
- Partner with local sales managers to improve brand visibility and availability in outlets.
- Help create new distribution opportunities on and around campus.
- Use brand assets and materials effectively to keep the product top of mind in sales accounts.
- Follow defined store standards with strong attention to detail.
- Coordinate regularly with the team in person and online, contribute ideas, and report activities accurately and on time.
- Share campus insights, trends, and opportunities that can support wider media and business development.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who is deeply connected to campus life, confident in communication, and naturally outgoing. The ideal candidate brings energy, initiative, and a genuine interest in learning marketing, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Strong enthusiasm for the brand and its products.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Outgoing, upbeat, charismatic, and positive personality.
- Active involvement in student life with strong knowledge of the university scene and local hotspots.
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable connecting with a wide range of people.
- Creative, entrepreneurial, self-driven, and responsible.
- Ability to balance part-time work with studies and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Interest in developing skills in marketing, negotiation, and sales.
- Well connected with influential groups and individuals on campus.
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- University enrolment.
- Fluent English communication.
