Role Overview

St. Hilda’s Secondary School in Singapore is hiring a proactive and dependable Developmental Discipline Coordinator to assist the Student Management Team. The position focuses on carrying out developmental discipline approaches, supporting student behavior interventions, keeping discipline-related records accurate, and helping the Discipline Room run smoothly. The role works closely with school leaders, teachers, and student management staff to uphold a safe, structured, and caring school environment.

St. Hilda’s Secondary School, 2 Tampines Street 82, Singapore 528986.

Working Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • A 30-minute lunch break is included in the schedule.
  • No duties are required on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
  • Any extra hours will be compensated with time off in lieu, subject to approval.

Contract Period

The initial engagement runs from 01 August 2026 to 31 December 2026.

There are also extension options for 01 January 2027 to 31 December 2027 and 01 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee students who are serving detention or suspension.
  • Carry out and track disciplinary actions in line with school procedures.
  • Follow up on students who have breached discipline rules.
  • Keep detention and suspension logs current and complete.
  • Share attendance updates with form teachers for disciplinary cases.
  • Encourage positive conduct and personal accountability among students.
  • Supervise the operations of the discipline room and manage late arrivals.
  • Maintain discipline records, databases, and handphone confiscation logs.
  • Enter attendance and discipline information into school systems.
  • Receive student walk-ins and liaise with the relevant school personnel.
  • Track the progress of students undergoing disciplinary support measures.
  • Escalate possible discipline issues to school management when needed.
  • Carry out follow-up steps after investigations are completed.
  • Monitor student movement through daily sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Assist with behavior intervention initiatives and student support efforts.
  • Promote restorative, relationship-centered approaches to discipline.
  • Work alongside teachers to support students who are at risk.
  • Observe student conduct during recess and after-school activities.
  • Review discipline and late-coming trends to guide preventive action.
  • Support school and national examinations as required.
  • Perform patrol and escort duties during exam periods.
  • Supervise students in examination waiting areas.
  • Monitor students during Extended School Term Self-Study and Suspension Programmes.
  • Keep student management records and profiling documents updated.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Prior experience in MOE teaching is an advantage.
  • Background in coaching or mentoring at-risk youth is preferred.
  • Experience with student discipline investigations is useful.
  • Ability to prepare reports for school management is valued.
  • Familiarity with school management systems and student databases is important.
  • Experience using online learning or education platforms is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is expected.

Education Requirement

A minimum of GCE O Level or an equivalent qualification is required.
