About the Role

Midlands State University is seeking two qualified Student Affairs Campus Coordinators, one for Harare Campus and one for Kwekwe Campus, within the Student Affairs Division. The role reports to the Executive Dean of Student Affairs and focuses on coordinating divisional services and programs that support student development, welfare, and overall campus experience.

Key Purpose

The coordinator will help ensure that student support activities are delivered effectively and in alignment with the University’s vision and mission. The position requires strong attention to detail, a practical understanding of student support operations, and the ability to contribute to student growth and well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the campus-level link for student affairs, helping strengthen services that support student needs and development.
  • Support the implementation and observance of policies, standard operating procedures, processes, and systems within the Student Affairs Division.
  • Track adherence to university policies in daily activities across the divisional sections.
  • Provide assistance to students facing welfare-related challenges that may interfere with their studies.
  • Take part in meetings and committees, and share relevant information on services or other important matters as directed by the Executive Dean of Students.
  • Carry out additional administrative duties assigned by the Executive Dean of Students.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a closely related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in Adult Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the Student Affairs Division of a university or other tertiary institution.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or active involvement in student activities at a university or tertiary institution.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities are essential.
