Role Overview

The Structures Foreman position is a full-time, on-site role located in Brisbane, Queensland. This role is responsible for supervising daily structural construction activities, coordinating site teams to ensure tasks are performed safely and accurately according to project plans and specifications. Duties include planning daily assignments, allocating labor and equipment efficiently, tracking progress, and resolving any on-site challenges with trades, suppliers, and project management teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead site inspections to maintain quality control and enforce safety standards.
  • Supervise crews to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage heavy equipment operations and provide support for maintenance or corrective tasks to uphold structural integrity.
  • Monitor and report on project status regularly to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise structural construction teams effectively.
  • Hands-on knowledge of operating heavy equipment relevant to structural projects, including basic troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders professionally.
  • Practical carpentry experience, including structural framing, formwork, and finishing techniques.
  • Experience in conducting and managing maintenance or rectification work to ensure quality standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction safety laws, risk management, and site regulations.
  • Previous supervisory roles such as Foreman or Leading Hand within building or structural construction environments.
  • Possession of a trade qualification or certificate in carpentry, construction, or correlated field is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be eligible to work on-site in Brisbane, QLD.
