It is well suited to someone who performs strongly in high-speed settings, works comfortably across functions, partners effectively with external stakeholders, and enjoys improving marketplace performance.
The position reports to the Canada Country Manager and is part of the North America Commercial organization. You will work with the Country Manager and cross-functional teams to carry out market strategy, build effective tactical and operational plans that support commercial targets, and strengthen value propositions for both customers and Taskers.
Key Responsibilities
- Study market conditions, including local trends, competition, and Tasker/client behavior, and turn those findings into actions that improve commercial strategy and metro-level priorities.
- Work with the Country Manager to design and implement local initiatives that improve fulfilment, activate supply, and support client retention.
- Develop local and culturally relevant marketing concepts, programs, and channels to raise brand awareness alongside the marketing team.
- Partner with Marketing and Brand to adapt metro-specific campaigns and category-led initiatives for local execution.
- Coordinate large metro activations and brand events with support from multiple internal teams.
- Support the Country Manager and cross-functional partners in building local partnerships and on-site activations.
- Assist with seasonal supply planning alongside Tasker Success Managers, creating tailored approaches for priority metros.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in strategy, operations, or marketplace-related roles, with clear impact on localized growth or P&L results; experience in marketing is an advantage.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Strong analytical ability, including practical use of funnel optimization, LTV/CAC measurement, and supply-demand modeling in decision-making.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence speaking to large audiences.
- Proven ability to create and roll out repeatable go-to-market plans or activations.
- Comfort working independently while aligning with teams across the organization.
- Ability to work extensively with data and maintain pace in an entrepreneurial environment; startup experience is a plus, especially in a marketplace business.
- Willingness to travel within Canada and occasionally to the United States.
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of how a two-sided marketplace operates.
- Previous experience with a global brand.
Location
Toronto is preferred, though Montreal and Vancouver may also be considered.
