Role Overview

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Solventum, you will spearhead the procurement strategies and manage execution for major technology-related contracts encompassing cloud services, SaaS, AI, data licensing, and professional services integral to healthcare software and revenue cycle management operations. Your collaborations will span across departments including Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, Security, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to maximize cost savings, minimize risks, and foster business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for categories like cloud infrastructure, SaaS, AI/ML services, data licensing, connectivity, and professional services.
• Lead comprehensive RFx processes, conducting thorough supplier assessments, commercial analysis, and providing informed sourcing recommendations.
• Negotiate multi-year, high-value technology agreements that incorporate robust commercial terms, service levels, privacy, and security clauses.
• Drive consistent year-over-year cost savings, optimize vendor portfolios, manage expenditures, and improve total cost of ownership.
• Develop supplier governance frameworks, including scorecards, business performance reviews, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define sourcing priorities and set strategic directions.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the sourcing team under your supervision.
• Prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and ensure alignment with business and sourcing objectives.
• Oversee budgeting and attainment of cost-saving targets while ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
• Promote continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing sourcing efficiency, supplier performance, and competitive positioning.

Onboarding

New hires will participate in a company orientation requiring travel to a designated location for onsite onboarding, with arrangements and travel expenses coordinated and covered by Solventum. This applies to employees starting on or after October 1, 2025.

Compensation and Benefits (U.S. Applicants)

The anticipated compensation range is $163,200 to $224,400 annually, including base salary plus eligible variable incentive pay. Final salary offers will reflect individual expertise, training, skills, experience, and work location. The position may also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid leave, and retirement benefits.
