Job description
Role Overview
Organization for Global Policy & Dialogue is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support procurement and supplier management on a part-time basis in Dubai. The position follows a hybrid setup, allowing some work from home while remaining based onsite in Dubai.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will oversee the full sourcing cycle, from finding and assessing suppliers through to supporting purchasing decisions that fit the organization’s mission and budget. You will also handle supplier relationships, pricing discussions, contract terms, and performance follow-up, while working closely with internal teams to align sourcing needs with operational and program priorities.
You will review spend information to spot opportunities for savings and added value, make sure sourcing activity follows internal policies, and keep contract and procurement records accurate and up to date.
Required Background
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in procurement and sourcing, including supplier evaluation, vendor relationship management, and supplier development. You should be comfortable negotiating contracts, pricing, and service levels, and be able to design sourcing approaches that balance cost, quality, risk, and social impact.
Strong analytical thinking is important, along with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into practical improvements. You should also have confident written and spoken communication skills, be able to work well across different teams, and stay organized while managing several sourcing assignments in a part-time capacity.
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required. Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are considered an added advantage. Prior experience with NGOs, international organizations, or other mission-led environments is a plus, especially in global or policy-focused settings.
