Job description
Role Overview
This contract position in Qatar is for a Strategic Planning Specialist supporting the Ministry’s long-term direction. The role centers on shaping and executing strategies that align with organizational objectives, while also assisting with KPI preparation and helping the Manager of Strategic Planning drive successful strategy delivery.
Core Purpose
The specialist will contribute to building practical strategic plans, tracking implementation progress, and ensuring that initiatives stay aligned with the Ministry’s goals and future priorities.
Responsibilities
- Design and put in place strategies and plans that support the Ministry’s objectives.
- Assist in preparing key performance indicators and related strategic measures.
- Support the Manager of Strategic Planning in executing and monitoring strategy implementation.
- Help ensure the organization stays on track to achieve long-term strategic goals.
- Develop strategic objectives and initiatives, and follow through on their execution.
- Contribute to designing initiative management frameworks and monitoring their progress.
- Support the development of organizational structure in line with strategic direction.
- Help define and implement policies and procedures that support strategic work.
- Carry out daily business planning and coordinate work in an organized manner.
- Analyze strategic information from multiple sources and turn it into useful insights and conclusions.
Requirements
- Strong familiarity with relevant policies, procedures, and systems used in the field.
- Ability to analyze data and strategic information from different sources and draw meaningful insights.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, including prioritization and structured project execution.
- Comfortable working under pressure, managing obstacles, and handling multiple tasks at once.
- Good computer skills and ability to use common applications effectively.
- Capability to develop strategic goals, initiatives, and initiative management plans.
- Ability to build organizational structures that align with strategic direction.
- Knowledge of how to define and implement policies and procedures.
- Fluency in Arabic, both spoken and written.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to forecast future needs and shape long-term plans.
- Broad expertise in strategy, business management, marketing, finance, and related areas relevant to the Ministry’s operations.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Results-focused, accountable, and able to manage resources efficiently.
- High integrity and commitment to professional conduct and organizational rules.
- Adaptable to change and able to adjust plans based on new circumstances or opportunities.
- Strong analytical thinking with an innovative approach to solving complex problems.
