Compass is a real estate company built around a mission to help people find a place they belong. Since launching in 2012, the company has been transforming the residential real estate experience through an integrated platform that supports agents in delivering outstanding service to both sellers and buyers.

Role overview

The Strategic Growth team represents the company in the market and drives expansion. In this role, you will be responsible for creating new pipeline opportunities for the Strategic Growth organization. The position is designed to deepen your skills so you can progress toward becoming a Strategic Growth Manager through onboarding and a formal training path.

Work location

This is a fully on-site position based in the Fort Worth office.

What you will do

  • Build fresh business opportunities and strengthen the sales funnel through inbound and outbound prospecting.
  • Reach out to prospective agents that match the ideal profile using calls, texts, emails, integrated marketing efforts, LinkedIn campaigns, and similar outreach methods.
  • Explain the value proposition clearly and handle objections so qualified opportunities are created in the territory.
  • Partner with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to shape effective prospecting approaches.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and complete with disciplined activity documentation.
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through thoughtful follow-up communication.
  • Work across teams to improve current workflows and build new ones through creative problem-solving.
  • Assess the addressable market in emerging geographies and help generate demand for disruptive technology.
  • Contribute as a key member of a high-performing team and support each SGM’s sales process.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience with a strong record of performance in SDR, customer success/service, direct sales, or account management.
  • Strong people skills, the ability to build rapport quickly, and a positive, self-motivated mindset.
  • Comfort working independently, making sound judgments, solving complex issues, and handling ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead client meetings and presentations effectively.
  • Strong organizational ability and the capacity to manage several deadlines at once.
  • A history of strong results across strategic, operational, and detail-intensive responsibilities.

Compensation

The hourly base pay range for this role is $38.46 to $43.27, which annualizes to $80,000 to $90,000. Actual pay may differ based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is aligned to market location and will always meet minimum wage requirements. Bonus pay and restricted stock units may also be included.

Benefits and perks

  • Participation in incentive programs, which may include cash, equity, or commissions.
  • Paid vacation, holidays, sick time, parental leave, and recharge leave.
  • Medical, tele-health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, and commuter program.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Maven support for new parents.
  • Carrot fertility benefits.
  • UrbanSitter caregiver referral network.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Pet insurance.

Culture and equal opportunity

The company promotes authenticity, collaboration, and an energetic environment shaped by its entrepreneurship principles. It emphasizes diversity, equity, inclusion, growth, and mobility, and offers competitive pay, strong benefits, and career development opportunities as an equal opportunity employer.
