About Stanley 1913
Stanley 1913 has been helping people enjoy food and drinks since 1913, when its original vacuum bottle changed everyday use. The brand now offers colorful, carefully designed products, including the Quencher™ line, that combine utility with style and support active lifestyles. Stanley 1913 is focused on making sustainable products that help create a better life while reducing environmental impact.
Role Overview
Stanley 1913 is looking for a driven Strategic Account Manager to expand and strengthen its presence in the Lifestyle and Department Stores channel. This person will own strategic account relationships, help grow sales, improve assortment, and execute merchandising plans that increase the brand’s reach across the channel.
The right candidate will be highly proactive and experienced in managing large, complex, high-volume, multi-channel national retail accounts. A background with fashion or lifestyle brands and direct experience working with JD Sports, Nordstrom, and Dillard’s is required.
This is a remote role, ideally based in the Greater Chicago area or within the Central time zone. Travel is expected to be about 30%.
Key Responsibilities
- Put the North American commercial strategy into action for the assigned channel, following direction from Commercial, Brand Partnership, and Sales leadership.
- Deliver on sales targets, margin goals, and sell-through performance across the channel accounts.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, broaden assortment, and improve sell-through in both stores and e-commerce.
- Work with leadership to evaluate and develop new opportunities within the channel.
- Provide accurate and timely account forecasts and coordinate closely with Demand and Supply Planning teams.
- Partner with Marketing and Consumer Experience teams to enhance brand presence and in-account activations across brick-and-mortar and online retail.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should bring 7–10 years of relevant direct sales experience in consumer goods. Strong retail analytics knowledge is important, and prior work in buying, planning, or key account sales is required. Experience handling sophisticated, high-capacity, multi-channel national retailers in Athletic Specialty and Department Stores is also required.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, solutions-oriented, persuasive in negotiations, and strong at building relationships. They should be comfortable with forecasting and order book management, bring a consumer-first mindset, and maintain a positive approach. The role also requires experience presenting to both small and large audiences, managing time effectively, solving problems, and overseeing budgets. Travel of up to 30% is required.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is USD 130,000 to USD 145,000. Full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance. Stanley 1913 also offers a broader rewards package that includes personalized time off, 14 paid holidays, dental coverage, vision coverage, a 401(k), and additional benefits.
This position is part of a total rewards program, so compensation may vary based on location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Equal Opportunity and Accessibility
Stanley 1913 is committed to building an inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or any other legally protected status.
