Job description
About the Company
Ancileo is an insurtech leader at the forefront of delivering AI-driven travel insurance solutions, serving insurers, reinsurers, and brokers across 25 countries. With integrations spanning over 20 prominent partners and the backing of a Singapore-listed entity, Ancileo is dedicated to advancing the digital insurance ecosystem. The company emphasizes client collaboration in technical development, design, marketing, and operational strategy to foster effective partnerships worldwide.
Position Overview
As a Strategic Account Manager for Japan, you will be responsible for orchestrating and overseeing Ancileo’s projects in the Japanese market, ensuring seamless execution, cultural appropriateness, and consistent local market alignment. This role requires both project management aptitude and relationship-building prowess, as you will act as the vital conduit between Japanese partners and Ancileo’s international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project delivery, partner integrations, and coordination efforts to ensure timely and high-quality execution throughout Japan.
- Interpret and communicate technical, business, and compliance needs between local stakeholders and headquarters.
- Tailor global offerings, marketing collateral, and technical documentation for resonance with Japanese customers and market standards.
- Guarantee that all communications and deliverables reflect the rigor and professionalism expected in Japan.
- Identify potential obstacles proactively and devise swift, actionable solutions before they escalate.
- Foster lasting connections with Japanese insurance providers, travel agencies, and distribution channels.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (product, technical, operations, compliance) to facilitate smooth implementation of Ancileo’s services.
- Perform scheduled business reviews for clients, presenting analytics, industry insights, and partnership optimization strategies.
- Represent Ancileo at industry gatherings, conferences, and client appointments within Japan.
Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in project or program management, particularly within insurance, technology, or digital partnership fields.
- Fluency in Japanese and English (both verbally and in writing); JLPT N1 or N2 levels are advantageous.
- Strong cultural awareness with deep expertise in Japanese business etiquette and project control.
- Demonstrates initiative, is hands-on, highly organized, and thrives with minimal oversight.
- Capable of making independent decisions and adjusting strategies promptly as circumstances change.
- Technically adept, especially regarding digital and AI/ML solutions in the insurance sector.
- Preference for candidates based in Singapore, but those in Tokyo may also be considered.
Success Factors
- This role is best suited for proactive individuals who excel at problem-solving, rather than those who are passive intermediaries.
- Applicants must be comfortable with independent decision-making and rapid response to emerging challenges.
