Position Summary
The Strategic Account Manager for Ecommerce will own and grow Revision Skincare’s online retail business. This person serves as the main contact for assigned ecommerce partners and is responsible for driving profitable digital expansion through annual business planning, promotional activity, digital merchandising, content improvements, and tight coordination with internal teams.
The role is accountable for the customer relationship across assigned eTailers, marketplaces, and omnichannel accounts, with responsibility for meeting revenue, growth, and strategic targets. It requires regular collaboration with stakeholders in marketing, digital commerce, operations, supply chain, customer service, and finance to launch products, manage promotional calendars, strengthen digital shelf performance, and improve account profitability.
Success in this position depends on strong account leadership, ecommerce knowledge, commercial execution, and the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners. The role connects Revision Skincare with its digital retail partners to ensure shared growth goals are met while delivering an excellent online shopping experience through strong merchandising, promotions, and operational discipline.
Location & Travel
This is a home-office role based in a major metropolitan area with access to a major airport. It is expected to travel nationwide as needed and with approval from the Director of Strategic Accounts. Travel is estimated at 60% to 75%.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce Account Leadership
- Act as the lead relationship owner and trusted partner for assigned ecommerce and online retail accounts.
- Build a strong understanding of each partner’s digital growth goals, promotional approach, merchandising priorities, and operating setup.
- Develop and implement annual Joint Business Plans that connect account objectives with Revision Skincare’s commercial and ecommerce strategy.
- Spot opportunities to broaden assortment, increase visibility, improve conversion, and drive online sales.
- Maintain productive relationships with ecommerce merchants, category managers, digital merchandising teams, and other key stakeholders.
Revenue Growth & Digital Business Development
- Deliver annual targets for sales, revenue, margin, and growth across the assigned ecommerce portfolio.
- Build account-specific growth plans, promotional calendars, pricing guidance, and digital business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities in marketplaces, seasonal activations, and customer expansion.
- Support the rollout of new products, digital campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
- Track account results and implement action plans to improve traffic, conversion, and profitability.
Digital Merchandising & Account Execution
- Oversee execution of ecommerce activities such as promotional campaigns, online events, product launches, assortment growth, digital shelf improvement, retail media support, business reviews, and conversion initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional support so ecommerce commitments are delivered smoothly.
- Make sure all account activity stays aligned with annual plans, brand standards, and growth goals.
- Handle customer communication and act as the escalation point for digital, operational, and commercial issues.
Cross-Functional Ecommerce Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, digital commerce, sales, and education teams to align strategies and execution.
- Collect customer insights, shopper trends, and competitor intelligence to strengthen planning.
- Share ecommerce priorities, promotional timing, launch plans, and business goals with internal stakeholders.
- Help internal teams capture account opportunities through aligned content, campaigns, and operational readiness.
Promotions, Content & Customer Engagement
- Partner with marketing and content teams to support merchandising, brand storytelling, and promotional plans online.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of digital campaigns, online education, product features, and promotional events.
- Find ways to improve engagement through stronger content, reviews, ratings, and product page optimization.
- Ensure customers receive timely assets, product details, and launch materials.
Business Planning & Performance Analytics
- Lead annual account planning, growth strategy creation, and ecommerce objective setting.
- Run regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance and identify next steps.
- Monitor key metrics such as revenue, margin, traffic, conversion, average order value, product content quality, digital shelf performance, promotional results, new product adoption, assortment productivity, customer KPIs, and operational scorecards.
- Apply data and insights to forecasting, planning, and strategic recommendations.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Marketing, Digital Commerce, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain to support account success.
- Represent customer and shopper needs while balancing business priorities.
- Lead internal planning meetings and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Support forecasting, inventory planning, launch preparation, and promotional execution.
Operational Excellence & Platform Management
- Manage day-to-day account communication and ecommerce operational support, resolving issues quickly and proactively.
- Ensure strong execution across digital touchpoints, including content, promotions, pricing, and availability.
- Keep account records accurate, including documentation, forecasts, retailer calendars, and CRM data.
- Support inventory coordination, order management, and compliance with customer requirements and agreements.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in sales, account management, ecommerce, business development, or strategic account roles.
- Background managing complex ecommerce or omnichannel customer relationships and delivering measurable growth.
- Strong skills in business planning, negotiation, digital merchandising, and relationship management.
- Proven success in building and executing growth strategies in online retail settings.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional work and manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort using CRM tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ecommerce reporting or analytics platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Experience in skincare, beauty, wellness, aesthetics, dermatology, or other premium consumer brands is preferred.
- Experience managing national eTailers, marketplaces, retailer.com accounts, or omnichannel customers is preferred.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, retailer portals, digital shelf standards, and online merchandising best practices is preferred.
- Experience creating and running Joint Business Plans and Quarterly Business Reviews is preferred.
- Understanding of ecommerce analytics, category management, digital marketing, and commercial planning is preferred.
- Experience supporting product launches, online promotions, and retail media initiatives is preferred.
- Strong business judgment and understanding of ecommerce operations, customer journeys, and digital merchandising basics.
