Role overview

This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner employer that handles applications and the remaining hiring process. The company is seeking a Strategic Account Manager in the United States to deepen relationships with priority customers and support retention, growth, and lasting revenue impact.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to customers, helping them get the most out of data-led solutions while uncovering additional business opportunities. The position blends account management, consultative selling, negotiation, and collaboration across teams. You’ll work closely with sales, customer success, and technical partners to deliver strong results for customers and the business.

This is a chance to contribute to growth in a fast-scaling technology setting centered on innovation and customer outcomes. The ideal candidate is someone who builds trust quickly, thinks strategically, and enjoys working through complex customer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and expand a portfolio of strategic accounts by driving renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and expansion opportunities.
  • Act as the main relationship owner and trusted advisor for key customers.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s priorities and shape account plans that clearly show business value.
  • Spot new revenue potential through account reviews, warm leads, and whitespace analysis.
  • Lead customer discussions about products, solutions, and growth opportunities to meet revenue goals.
  • Work with Customer Success, Sales Development, Solutions Engineering, and other internal partners to build effective account strategies.
  • Create and carry out negotiation approaches that improve contract value while preserving positive customer relationships.
  • Run the full account sales cycle, including renewals, expansion conversations, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
  • Support multi-year agreements by clearly communicating long-term value and business impact.
  • Keep forecasts accurate, share regular updates with leadership, and raise risks or opportunities early.
  • Prioritize accounts based on commercial potential so time and resources are focused appropriately.
  • Collaborate across functions to strengthen retention and uncover new growth paths.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of college education.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing existing accounts or selling in a B2B software or SaaS environment.
  • A demonstrated history of improving renewals, expansions, and revenue through strategic account management.
  • Comfort working with CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of productivity tools including Gmail, Google Slides, and Google Sheets.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to influence buying decisions by building trust and showing measurable business impact.
  • A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative, positive approach and comfort working as part of a team.
  • Experience in retail, real estate, financial services, or consumer packaged goods is considered an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel about 30% of the time for conferences and customer meetings.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive base pay in the range of $90,000 to $135,000 USD annually, based on experience, skills, location, and market factors.
  • Additional commission potential tied to sales performance.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Flexible time off.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Equity opportunities for eligible roles.
  • Chance to work alongside skilled professionals in a high-growth technology setting.
  • Career growth exposure and the opportunity to work with innovative solutions shaping the future of location intelligence.
  • A meaningful role in strengthening customer relationships and contributing to business results.
