Role Overview

The Senior Storyteller is a hands-on creative leader who plans, shoots, and delivers exceptional video and photographic content. This role requires a blend of cinematic artistry, storytelling intuition, leadership skills, and strong execution capabilities. The storyteller leads and manages production teams, directing shoots to extract meaningful human stories that resonate with clients’ strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle video projects including planning, shooting, editing, and delivering final content.
• Direct interviews, b-roll, and narrative sequences with sharp storytelling insight.
• Create cinematic visuals that enhance brand presence and convey authentic stories.
• Ensure alignment of all content with campaign goals and storytelling frameworks.
• Manage and guide small production teams during shoots.
• Confidently oversee full-day shoots in challenging environments such as jobsites and events.
• Collaborate effectively with Account Managers and internal teams while maintaining creative leadership.
• Operate cinema-quality cameras (Canon C70, RED, Blackmagic) and handle audio, lighting, and stabilization equipment.
• Edit footage using professional software including Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
• Maintain, transport, and manage production equipment responsibly.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with clients on set.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence and situational awareness during shoots.
• Provide actionable creative direction to team members and serve as a composed leader under pressure.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 4+ years of professional experience in video production and photography.
• Demonstrated success managing and executing professional video shoots.
• A strong portfolio showcasing not only compelling visuals but also deep storytelling capability.
• Hands-on experience with cinema cameras such as Canon, RED, and Blackmagic.
• Proficiency in professional editing workflows.
• Ability to independently own projects from initial capture through final delivery.
• Proven leadership skills, including managing creative teams or crews.
• High degree of autonomy, initiative, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Comfort in making quick decisions in field conditions.
• Physical capability to film full days in demanding environments, including outdoor jobsites and variable conditions.
• Capable of handling and transporting professional production gear.

Schedule and Location

• Full-time engagement averaging 40 to 50+ hours per week with production-driven scheduling.
