About the Role and Project

MACA, a proud part of the Thiess group, is seeking a Storeperson to support the Eva Copper Mine Project located in Northern Territory, Australia, working on a FIFO 2:1 roster. This project, under Harmony Gold, is a significant copper-gold mining development situated on Kalkadoon traditional lands. The role involves managing store operations critical to civil construction and mining activities on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the issuance of parts required for work orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage returns of surplus stock items from completed work orders and adjust inventory records accordingly.
  • Receive and dispatch goods efficiently, maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Document all stock and non-stock goods transactions accurately.
  • Conduct pre-start inspections on vehicles and forklifts.
  • Maintain clear and auditable documentation related to store activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements within the store's operation area.
  • Keep accurate records for hazardous material handling, including MSDS documentation.
  • Champion and uphold safe work practices throughout store operations.
  • Inspect incoming goods, reporting any non-compliance or damage to supervisors and purchasing teams.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and share technical knowledge to enhance store efficiency.
  • Perform inventory audits regularly to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Manage workshop tooling consumables issuance and receipt.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to update daily work requirement forecasts.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in storekeeping within mining or civil construction settings.
  • Possession of a High Risk Licence and a valid Australian driver's licence.
  • White Card certification.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
