Job description
Role Overview
Rainbow Tourism Group is seeking a permanent Stores Clerk to join the Finance team at Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The role reports to the Storeman and focuses on ensuring effective control of store items, accurate recordkeeping, and smooth movement of goods in and out of the storeroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries from suppliers and check incoming goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date store records.
- Issue and dispatch items from the stores as required.
- Participate in physical stock counts and stock verification exercises.
- Keep storerooms clean, orderly, and well maintained.
- Monitor inventory so that required par levels are always maintained.
- Safeguard and account for returnable containers kept in the storerooms.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A National Certificate in Purchasing and Supply, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and consultative abilities across different levels.
- Professional and pleasant communication style when dealing with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of the ACCPAC system.
- High integrity and sound ethical standards.
- Strong attention to detail, honesty, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
