Job Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time Storeperson to join a dynamic, fast-paced setting, primarily between Monday and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with occasional weekend duties. The role focuses on ensuring premium customer service and effective inventory management.
- Accurately document all stock movements in and out of the stores.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, ensuring quantities and quality meet specifications.
- Collaborate with Department Managers to coordinate monthly stock takes.
- Conduct monthly inventory counts, recording data in the inventory management system.
- Generate monthly reports detailing stock usage and current inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate and updated inventory system files.
- Review stock levels periodically and initiate purchase requests compliant with departmental policies.
- Distribute goods promptly to sub-stores or user departments.
- Keep storage areas clean, organized, and goods properly stored.
- Secure storage areas to prevent loss from damage or theft.
- Ensure all returns to suppliers are authorized and properly recorded.
- Follow purchasing procedures as outlined in the department's policy manual.
Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory management roles is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Physical ability to lift and move items, continually handling weights between 10 to 40 kg.
- Forklift or equipment operation certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety standards and airport security protocols.
- Completion of a pre-employment medical examination.
- Full legal work authorization in Australia.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and management.
