Storeperson

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Storeperson to oversee the daily operations of our site warehouse and inventory management for our mining activities at Norseman, Western Australia. This role involves managing stock receipt, issuance, storage, and maintenance to support smooth mining operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and carefully inspect incoming deliveries and freight.
• Distribute parts, consumables, tools, and equipment to relevant site staff.
• Maintain precise inventory records and manage stock control systems.
• Carry out regular stocktakes and inventory audits.
• Coordinate dispatches and returns of freight.
• Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse and store areas are kept in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Operate forklifts and other necessary warehouse equipment adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
• Assist with purchase and procurement administrative tasks when requested.
• Identify and report any damaged, defective, or missing stock items promptly.
• Adhere to all site safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
• Support the maintenance and operations teams with material handling and management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working as a Storeperson or in warehouse, logistics, or inventory roles.
• Background in mining, construction, resources, or heavy industry is highly desirable.
• Possession of a valid forklift licence is mandatory.
• Proficient computer skills, especially with inventory management software.
• Excellent organisational capabilities and effective time management.
• High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Current Australian Driver's License is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and fostering a positive work environment.
