Job description
Role overview
As a Stockperson/Cartpusher with Walmart Canada, you’ll support store operations by keeping shopping carts available, helping customers with carry-outs and carry-ins, and contributing to a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment. This role is well suited to someone interested in retail or customer service and looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced store setting.
Key duties
- Gather carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and around the store, then return them to the designated safe storage area following Walmart’s approved process and completing the required logs.
- Assist customers promptly at registers by helping with carry-outs and carry-ins and checking receipts when proof of purchase is needed.
- Carry out scheduled restroom cleaning and light maintenance tasks, using chemicals safely, following disposal rules, and operating power equipment only after completing the required inspection report.
- Follow all safety and emergency rules, including procedures related to hazardous materials communication, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens.
- Keep the Cart Retrieval Log updated at the Customer Service Desk.
- Help maintain a safe, tidy, and hazard-free work area by following company policies and procedures.
- Support visibility and personal safety by wearing steel-toe footwear and the required reflective vest during cart collection.
- Complete safety sweeps whenever needed.
Pay
The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.
Minimum requirements
