Role Overview

Under the guidance of the Underground Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor, this position manages storage and distribution of warehouse stock, spare parts, and consumables for underground mining equipment such as excavators, trucks, and drills. The role involves inventory control, forklift operation, data entry, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment while supporting a collaborative team culture with training and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Control inventory through receipt, issuance, storage, and shipment of supplies.
• Conduct daily and periodic stocktakes with precise record keeping.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in warehouse and remote yards.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform diligent housekeeping of storage areas.
• Adhere strictly to safety policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Enter and process purchase invoices accurately in Pronto system.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials for operations.
• Implement best practices in inventory management and logistics.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in mining-related warehousing, logistics, or parts management.
• Competence and confidence in forklift operation.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly Excel and inventory software such as Pronto or SAP.
• Preferably holds warehousing or logistics certification.
• Possess a valid, clean, full driver’s license.
• High accuracy in stocktaking and data entry tasks.
• Strong safety focus and awareness.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills within team settings.
