Role overview
Weir ESCO is looking for a Store Person to join its Lytton site. This is a hands-on warehouse role in a busy environment, with responsibility for accurate stock handling, efficient order processing, and safe day-to-day warehouse activity.
Work schedule and location
The position is based onsite in Lytton, Queensland, Australia. The roster runs Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Onsite parking is available.
Key duties
- Prepare and dispatch orders accurately so deliveries meet required timelines.
- Receive incoming stock and check it against shipping paperwork.
- Arrange freight bookings and coordinate domestic shipments.
- Use forklifts, tools, and other equipment safely, including basic upkeep.
- Keep the warehouse tidy, well organised, and safe to work in.
- Work with inventory systems and contribute ideas to improve workflow.
- Follow zero-harm principles and actively support a strong safety culture.
What you need
- At least 2 to 4 years of relevant warehouse experience.
- A valid high-risk forklift licence, with counterbalance endorsement required and high-reach experience preferred.
- Comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word at an intermediate level.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and battery-powered tools.
- Strong team skills, customer focus, and the ability to stay effective under pressure and deadlines.
- Exposure to Oracle or a similar inventory platform is an advantage.
- Experience with safety systems such as Shield and Workday is helpful.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and layout optimisation is desirable.
