About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished retail leader to spearhead operations at our Newmarket Concept Store in Auckland. This opportunity entails managing a flagship premium Adidas store, demanding a commercially astute leader aligned closely with brand standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and motivate the team to exceed sales targets, KPIs, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Take full accountability for the store’s commercial outcomes, ensuring the team is aware and engaged with performance data, goals, and action plans.
• Analyze sales and operational data to question existing practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Engage with the District Manager and retail support to address areas for enhancement, maximizing business impact.
• Drive continuous growth in sales, productivity, and profitability by implementing efficient, effective processes.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, promoting high levels of customer service and maximizing selling time.
• Partner with the District Manager to identify and nurture high-potential team members along the Retail Field Career Ladder.
• Deliver training and coaching sessions to enhance team knowledge, skills, and KPI outcomes.
• Oversee and empower the retail operations team, fostering contribution and development in a dynamic environment.
• Coordinate consistent application of Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards.
• Manage inventory processes to ensure smooth stock flow from receiving to sales floor.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and brand partners to secure professional support and maintain high store standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial perspective combined with proven retail leadership experience. You should demonstrate success in leading teams to meet financial targets, thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment, and confidently represent the brand with key stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Previous Retail Store Manager experience with a global men’s/women’s brand, especially in sports retail, is highly valued.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching and mentoring teams effectively.
