Job description

Role Overview

This position is suited to a hospitality manager or supervisor who wants a better balance between work and personal life. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with evenings and weekends free, plus bank holidays off and around 8 to 10 days off across the Christmas period.

The employer is looking for someone with experience in wet and dry stocktaking, or a hospitality professional who has worked at management or supervisory level in a bar, pub, restaurant, or similar setting. This is not just a stocktaking job; it also involves building lasting relationships with client businesses and offering practical guidance that supports their day-to-day operation.

The role is based around Bournemouth and the nearby area, with regular travel to restaurants, pubs, bars, and retail entertainment venues. A private vehicle is required because travel is part of the job.

The salary offered is £26,500 to £28,500 per year, depending on experience, along with a competitive mileage allowance.

Key Duties

In this role, you will visit allocated hospitality and retail entertainment clients on a recurring basis to complete wet and dry stocktakes. You will then review the results, prepare and run stock reports through EPoS systems, and use the findings to help businesses improve stock usage and overall profitability. Additional training will be provided on the company’s systems and processes.

Candidate Profile

The company will consider applicants with direct stocktaking experience, but it is also open to people who have worked in supervisory or management positions such as assistant restaurant manager, hospitality manager, pub manager, bar manager, or a similar hospitality leadership role with some wet and dry stocktaking exposure.

You should be comfortable working with EPoS systems, including tasks like generating stock reports and adding items. Strong organisation, time management, administration, communication, customer service, and PC skills are needed, along with confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel. A sound understanding of stock yields and stock depletion is also important.

Benefits

The company offers training to support professional development, as well as company events, team parties, and team-building activities designed to strengthen collaboration and workplace culture.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position. Candidates must have access to their own vehicle to cover travel across the assigned area.
