Position Overview
In the role of Stockperson/Cartpusher, you contribute to creating a safe, organized, and inviting shopping environment. Your main duty involves collecting shopping carts from designated areas such as cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeter, then returning them to their assigned storage following company-sanctioned procedures. This role also emphasizes excellent customer service and a commitment to safety, supporting efficient store operations while developing valuable retail, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather shopping carts from various locations and securely return them to storage sites using approved methods.
- Accurately complete all necessary logs related to cart management.
- Promptly respond to requests from registers and customer service, including assisting customers by carrying items in or out and checking receipts when needed.
- Carry out occasional cleaning and upkeep tasks including restrooms, adhering to guidelines for chemical usage, proper disposal, and safe operation of equipment.
- Conduct required equipment inspections before use to ensure safety.
- Follow all safety protocols including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout procedures, and bloodborne pathogen standards to maintain a safe environment.
- Use mandatory personal protective equipment like steel-toed shoes and reflective vests and perform safety checks as required to support a hazard-free workplace.
- Be available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, adapting flexibly to business demands.

- Effectively manage high volumes of tasks in a fast-paced setting, including overnight shifts, while maintaining energy and focus.
- Handle repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with precision and consistency.
- Perform physical duties that involve standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
