Position Overview
Serving as a Stockperson/Cartpusher with Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in the retail sector. The primary duties involve gathering shopping carts from designated corrals, parking areas, and store boundaries, then transporting them securely back to storage areas, all while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lots, and store environs using Walmart-approved methods, and accurately complete related logs.
- Swiftly respond to customer requests at registers, assist with carrying purchases into and out of the store, and verify receipts as needed.
- Perform routine restroom cleaning and maintenance per guidelines, handle chemicals safely, dispose of waste correctly, and operate power equipment following inspection protocols.
- Comply strictly with safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous material communications, lockout/tagout procedures, and blood borne pathogen precautions.
- Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log located at the Customer Service Desk diligently.
- Support a workplace that is clean, safe, and free from hazards by following company policies.
- Ensure personal safety by wearing steel-toe footwear and reflective vests during cart retrieval activities to maximize visibility.
- Conduct safety sweeps as part of routine operations.
Compensation
This role offers a starting hourly wage of $18.00 CAD.
