Job Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Stockperson/Cartpusher offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable retail experience. This role involves gathering shopping carts from various store areas including cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter, then securely returning them to designated storage spots, all while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Duties

• Collect shopping carts from designated areas and return them safely following Walmart's approved procedures, completing necessary log entries.
• Promptly assist customers at registers by helping with carry outs and carry ins, validating receipts as proof of purchase.
• Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance tasks, including restroom care using appropriate chemicals and power equipment; complete inspection reports before equipment use.
• Observe all safety and emergency protocols related to hazardous materials, lockout/tagout processes, and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
• Maintain an accurate Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
• Ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety practices including wearing steel-toe footwear and reflective vests during cart collection activities.
• Conduct safety sweeps as required.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
