Position Overview
Becoming a Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart Canada is an excellent opportunity to enhance your experience in the retail sector. This role involves retrieving shopping carts from designated areas around the store, including cart corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter, and returning them safely to their storage locations while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts using Walmart's standardized procedures from various outdoor locations and ensure proper completion of logs.
- Quickly address customer requests at registers, assist with carrying items in and out, and verify proof of purchase receipts.
- Conduct occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms by handling chemicals safely, following disposal guidelines, and operating power equipment with required inspections.
- Follow all safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous materials handling, lockout/tagout procedures, and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
- Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk accurately.
- Promote a secure and clean workspace by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe footwear and high-visibility reflective vests during cart collection tasks.
- Perform safety checks when requested to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.
