Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Stockperson/Cartpusher offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in retail operations. This role involves gathering shopping carts from various store locations such as cart corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter, then safely storing them, all while upholding excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect shopping carts from designated areas using Walmart’s approved procedures and maintain related logs accurately.
• Provide prompt assistance at registers and help customers with carry-outs or carry-ins, ensuring purchases are verified by checking receipts.
• Perform occasional restroom cleaning and maintenance tasks, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, disposal methods, and operating power equipment while completing inspection reports.
• Adhere to company safety protocols including emergency procedures, hazardous material handling, lockout/tagout processes, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
• Keep an updated Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and hazard-free workplace by complying with company policies and safety standards.
• Promote workplace safety by utilizing personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and reflective vests during cart collection activities for visibility.
• Conduct safety sweeps as required to maintain a secure environment.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $18.75 per hour.
