This position involves collecting shopping carts from various locations such as cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters and returning them to designated areas following approved procedures. Primary Responsibilities

• Retrieve shopping carts from designated areas including cart corrals, parking lot, and store perimeter, and safely return them to storage locations using approved Walmart procedures, while maintaining accurate log records.
• Respond promptly to requests from all registers and customer service areas, assisting with carrying items for customers and verifying purchase receipts when needed.
• Undertake occasional cleaning and maintenance tasks such as restroom upkeep, adhering strictly to guidelines for chemical handling, proper disposal, and safe equipment use. Perform required equipment inspections before operation.
• Comply with all safety protocols including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen procedures to maintain a secure environment for customers and colleagues.
• Promote workplace safety by using mandatory personal protective equipment like steel-toed shoes and reflective vests, conducting safety sweeps, and following company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Adapt a flexible work schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands and maintain smooth store operations.

Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks within a fast-paced setting, especially during overnight shifts requiring energy and concentration.
• Ensure efficiency in handling restocking and recovery tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting inventory or supplies up to 20 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently execute repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing products while upholding store standards.

Compensation

The wage for this position starts at $15.50 per hour.
