Role Overview

The position focuses on optimizing sales and profits by managing stock efficiently, overseeing branch administrative duties, motivating the stock and administration teams, and continuously exceeding internal service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of all customer orders within a demanding 24-hour deadline, delegating tasks to the stock administration team as needed.
• Coordinate daily collection schedules and collaborate with the Divisional Operations Manager to manage external courier logistics and resolve any issues.
• Supervise smooth functioning of the stockroom, including timely and precise replenishment of the sales floor.
• Work closely with the Divisional Operations Manager to maintain the accuracy of the in-store stock system and monitor all stock transfers, ensuring they meet company KPIs.
• Communicate regularly with Warehouse and Merchandising teams to track incoming and outgoing stock flows.
• Complete all required documentation and processes precisely, reporting any delivery discrepancies to the relevant departments for investigation.
• Conduct periodic spot checks to verify stock file accuracy, reporting discrepancies to Stock Audit and the Operations Manager.
• Assist in the company stock-take process, aiming for results within a 0.3% variance target.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with host stores to support logistical processes.
• Oversee the service levels of the stock team to ensure excellent internal customer service.
• Manage staffing rotas to align with business needs, authorize holidays and breaks, and complete all HR formalities including recruitment of temporary staff during peak periods.
• Deliver training for new permanent and temporary stock team members.
• Guarantee strict adherence to stock security measures and report any security concerns immediately to the General Manager.
• Develop strong communication and working relationships with senior managers, head office personnel, and store management.
• Monitor health and safety compliance within the stockroom, suggesting improvements and reporting any issues to management.
