About the Role
Marina Bay Sands is seeking a Steward focused on dishwashing and kitchen cleanliness. This position is part of a team that supports food and beverage operations by keeping back-of-house areas hygienic, organized, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties and dispose of waste in food and beverage outlets.
- Wash a range of kitchen items such as plates, utensils, pots, ice machines, and trolleys.
- Buff and maintain silver, bronze, and copper kitchenware.
- Follow the correct dishwashing procedures and help keep equipment in good working condition.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, shelving, and filters.
- Support overnight kitchen cleaning assignments.
- Log any broken or damaged equipment in the stewarding record.
- Provide help in other duties or areas as directed by the Stewarding Supervisor, Assistant Chief Steward, or Chief Steward.
Requirements
- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred, and prior stewarding experience will be an added advantage.
- No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
- Must be prepared to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as public holidays.
- Should maintain a neat, clean, and professional presentation at all times.
