Job Overview
The Stage Management Coordinator ensures the flawless daily running of shows and performances. Responsibilities include overseeing rehearsals, technical calls, maintenance coordination, and supervising sections of seasonal event programming such as Halloween Horror Nights. The role manages performer communications and takes charge of administrative tasks including virtual roster updates, leave records, and performer logs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of shows and performances, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication via show reports to relevant teams.
- Manage rehearsals, technical rehearsals, live performances, and maintenance calls, including costume and technical needs.
- Oversee segments of special seasonal event programming, e.g., individual zones and houses for Halloween Horror Nights.
- Communicate vital operational updates to performers involved in assigned shows.
- Support all performers in assigned shows, maintaining virtual roster data, tracking leave, and updating performer logs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or WSQ Certification in fields relevant to Theatre, Theme Parks, Television, or Events.
- At least two years of experience within related industries.
Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrated ability in show calling preferred.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong understanding of event and show operations.
- Leadership experience with supervisory capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational and coordination skills.
- Effective problem-solving aptitude combined with adaptability.
- Familiarity with HR procedures and equitable management is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
