Role summary

The Staff Technical Talent Sourcer will focus on identifying and engaging highly specialized technical talent while working closely with recruiters, coordinators, hiring managers, and broader hiring teams. This is a full-time position reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, Global Talent Sourcing.

Compensation and rewards

The salary range for this role is $149,000 to $193,000 per year. In addition to base pay, the role includes eligibility for equity, an annual performance bonus, and competitive benefits designed to support employees and their families as part of Etsy’s total rewards package.

Work location and arrangement

Etsy is considering applicants who are based in the United States. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn office hub may be reviewed first. For nearby candidates, in-office presence is required once or twice per week depending on proximity to the office. Etsy also offers different work modes to accommodate varying needs and preferences.

Key responsibilities

  • Source technical candidates for different teams at Etsy, with a primary focus on DSML roles.
  • Identify and reach out to passive candidates within targeted talent segments.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders to understand hiring needs, shape hiring strategy, and provide recommendations beyond the immediate open role.
  • Maintain pipeline tracking and keep partners informed with relevant updates on supported searches and projects.
  • Support end-to-end recruiting efforts, including building strong and diverse talent pipelines and improving sourcing approaches to meet team goals.
  • Develop strong partnerships across HR and collaborate cross-functionally with groups such as HR Business Partners and Compensation.
  • Represent Etsy and the talent acquisition function both internally and externally in a professional manner.
  • Help ensure hiring managers and interview teams are well prepared so interviews run efficiently and professionally.
  • Take on additional duties as needed, with responsibilities subject to change at Etsy’s discretion and in line with local law.

Experience and qualifications

  • 7 or more years of experience recruiting and/or screening engineering talent at high-growth technology companies or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong professional presence with the ability to represent the company courteously and confidently in both internal and external settings.
  • Experience advising hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
  • Strong interest in sourcing passive talent, building diverse pipelines, and mapping the talent market.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-moving environment with competing demands.
  • Comfort balancing urgent open roles with proactive, collaborative sourcing projects.
  • Experience with Workday Recruit or a comparable applicant tracking system.
