Position Overview
Woodend Hospital's Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic invites applications for a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated staff nurse to join a busy, dynamic environment. This role demands a hardworking individual with genuine interest and expertise in orthopaedics, committed to delivering exceptional person-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
The nurse will collaborate with both nursing colleagues and a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to maintain high-quality care standards across diverse Consultant-led, Orthopaedic minor procedure, and nurse-led clinics. Duties include managing clinics operational Monday to Friday, supporting a high patient volume of approximately 300-400 weekly. The role additionally encompasses involvement in specialized nurse-led services and various procedure and hand trauma clinics.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with appropriate qualifications and a background in orthopaedic nursing. Experience in clinic settings, including updated wound care proficiency, is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, paired with a flexible and diligent work ethic, are essential.
