Established in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, the hospice has played a key role in the modern hospice movement. Celebrating more than 50 years of service and operating with a turnover of over £20 million, it supports more than 7,500 people across the London boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
Role Overview
This position is for a registered nurse to join the inpatient unit within a dedicated and enthusiastic team. The work is both meaningful and demanding, requiring someone who is resilient, caring and fully committed to delivering excellent care for people at the end of life.
What You Will Be Expected to Do
You will provide high-quality, skilled nursing support with a strong focus on compassion and dignity. The role involves working in a busy environment and supporting patients who are terminally ill, along with offering care and reassurance to their families.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will be able to perform well under pressure and bring empathy, professionalism and strong clinical judgement to the role. Experience of caring for terminally ill patients and their relatives is important for success in this post.
