Role overview

Epassi is looking for a Senior Product Designer focused on the app experience. The role can be performed from home, with travel to an office in Finland or Germany twice a month. You will own the end-to-end experience of the super app for end users and help shape Epassi’s vision of becoming a daily wellbeing companion.

This is an individual contributor position that blends strategic design leadership with hands-on execution when needed. You will define the direction for the app experience, set standards, and help maintain a coherent, scalable product across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the super app journey, including user flows, interaction patterns, and UX performance across all markets.
• Shape and improve app design guidelines within the Epassi design system, helping establish standards for the wider design organization.
• Create concepts, interaction models, and visual design solutions for complex modular app experiences.
• Ensure the experience stays consistent and scalable across products, regions, and surfaces.
• Coach and support other app designers within the company.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and brand marketing teams.
• Balance long-term experience strategy with practical delivery and execution.

First 6 to 9 months

• Build a strong understanding of app users and the business context across Epassi’s different countries.
• Take ownership of the super app concept and create a design plan for scaling and improvement.
• Set up end-to-end ownership of app flows and implement a framework for UX metric tracking.
• Develop an effective collaboration model with design system, product, engineering, UX writing, research, and brand teams.
• Align with other app designers on patterns, flows, and standards across the product.

Day-to-day work

• Provide design leadership by guiding app designers, owning app guidelines, and driving alignment on priorities and standards.
• Contribute directly to design, prototyping, and reviews when needed to maintain quality and consistency.
• Define and monitor UX metrics for the super app.
• Partner regularly with engineering, UI architecture, senior product leadership, senior designers, and brand marketing to align decisions at scale.
• Work with local colleagues and global teams in an open, low-hierarchy environment.

Required experience and skills

• 8 to 10+ years of experience designing complex consumer apps at scale.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end product experiences across multiple domains or surfaces.
• Strong knowledge of modern app design patterns and interaction approaches, especially for super apps and AI-enabled experiences.
• Experience setting and tracking UX metrics and linking design work to measurable outcomes.
• Solid DesignOps background, including awareness of how AI and automation can improve the design process.
• Good understanding of mobile technical constraints and accessibility requirements.
• Experience in HR tech, fintech, wellness, or sports is an advantage.
• English proficiency is required; knowledge of one of Epassi’s market languages is a plus.
