Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities including general ledger transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, and support for financial reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, preparing schedules, reviewing transactions, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Handle and verify accounts payable and receivable tasks including vendor invoice processing and customer payments
- Reconcile various accounts such as bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany balances
- Maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Support expense reporting and employee reimbursements, ensuring adherence to internal policies
- Help with audits, tax preparations, and compliance by collecting necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
- Identify and suggest enhancements to accounting processes, controls, and accuracy of reporting
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and accounting issues promptly
- Execute additional finance and accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and closing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with team members
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and diligent follow-up capabilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP or accounting software such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage, or equivalent
- Background supporting accounting operations across multiple entities, states, or international boundaries
- History of enhancing accounting documentation, internal controls, or processes
