Ribnitz-Damgarten is a growing medium-sized town in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, located about 25 kilometers east of Rostock. With its regional growth potential, the municipality is looking for a Stadtbauhofarbeiter/in (m/w/d) to join the city works department as soon as possible.

Employment terms

The position is permanent and based on full-time employment in the public sector. The application deadline is 26 July 2026. The role is graded at EG 5 TVöD-VKA, provided the collective agreement conditions are met.

Key tasks

• Maintain and care for roads, cycle paths, and the surrounding related facilities
• Carry out green space and tree care
• Keep road traffic facilities in good working order
• Perform winter service duties
• Complete construction and maintenance work on structures
• Create and maintain green areas and roadside vegetation
• Install and service traffic signs, traffic devices, and traffic safety systems
• Operate, drive, and maintain vehicles and technical equipment
• Carry out cleaning tasks

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker, or
• A completed three-year vocational qualification in a related field such as construction, agriculture, or forestry
• At least a Class B driving licence
• Class CE and T driving licences are an advantage
• Solid specialist knowledge in landscape gardening and construction work
• Strong manual skills
• At least two years of relevant professional experience is desirable
• Independent working style and a strong sense of personal responsibility
• Resilience, flexibility, and careful working practices
• Strong ability to work in a team
